Climate

Maldives enjoys a wonderful tropical climate, with an average annual temperature of 30 degrees Celsius and seas that are always warm.

With the islands scattered both to the South and North of the Equator, Maldives has a monsoonal climate, with two distinct seasons; a dry season (the Northeastern Monsoon) and a wet season (Southwestern Monsoon). The dry season (the Northeastern Monsoon) brings dry and sunny spells to the country, from November to May/June, with the wet season, from May/June to October/November, brings more rain but with dry specks of beautiful dry spells.
